Phil Henry

Pastor Phillip Henry and his wife have six grown children. Phil and Polly moved to New Jersey from Arizona in 2009 with a call from the New Jersey Presbytery to begin a new PCA congregation in Gloucester County, which became Mercy Hill. Pastor Henry received the M.Div. from Westminster Seminary in California (1999) and the Th.M. from Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA (2022). He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in September 2000. He has served in two other congregations prior to Mercy Hill.

Will Bausch

Will serves as an elder at Mercy Hill. He and his wife Sara have four children and reside in Elk Township. In addition to working as a high school English teacher, he is also an aspiring cellist and runner.

Scott Leary

Scott works full-time with a state court system, and dabbles in coffee roasting. He and his wife Shelly readily joined Pastor Phil to help guide and plant Mercy Hill in 2009.

Now he serves on the session as a ruling elder and volunteer of the worship and creative arts ministry. They have 2 teenage children and reside in southern Gloucester County, where they host Young Life weekly.

He is passionate about his Cub Cadet zero turn mower, Philadelphia sports, and Formula 1 racing.

Adam Moore

Adam Moore is a digital marketing professional by trade. He lives in the southern part of Mercy Hill's ministry radius and serves as the Stated Clerk of our Session. Adam has been happily married to Nicole for 20 years and has four school aged children. They have been attending Mercy Hill since November, 2013. In his free time, Adam loves to play music, discuss economics, and follow Philadelphia sports. His favorite food is ribeye steak cooked medium rare.

Tim Pacek

Tim serves as a member of the Men’s Ministry and A/V teams at Mercy Hill, in addition to being a ruling elder. He and his wife, Allie, have been attending since 2017 and reside in Mullica Hill. They have three young children and two dogs. Tim has a career in healthcare technology consulting and in his spare time enjoys cooking, watching Flyers hockey, and golfing.

Ric Springer

Ric and his wife, Carole, recently celebrated 56 years of marriage, have two children and five grandchildren - including triplet grandsons! Ric retired as a public-school administrator in 2000 after 33 years of service.

Ric and Carole joined Calvary Presbyterian Church, Allenwood, NJ in 1972. He was ordained a Ruling Elder in 1977, served as Clerk of Session for 42 years and taught the adult Sunday school class for 43 years. Ric has been active in the PCA General Assembly since 1983 and has been a Clerk of New Jersey Presbytery since 1980.

He and Carole moved to Glassboro and, in 2019, transferred their memberships to Mercy Hill. He and Carole are excited about what the Lord is doing in this young congregation.

Ed Bruner

Ed is a Software Engineer by trade and a talented musician. He has been attending MercyHill since 2017. He placed his faith in Christ at a young age and has served on several foreign short term mission trips.

Ed has been married for 20+ years and has 4 beloved children.

John Campbell

John is a deacon at Mercy Hill and finance ministry. He has been married to Lauren since 2009, and have been blessed to have 3 children together.

John and his family live in Mullica Hill, NJ and have been attending Mercy Hill since 2012. They joined the church after meeting Pastor Phil and his family after they became neighbors.

John works full time in his family’s flooring company in Salem, NJ.

Kevin Temew

Apart from being a deacon in Mercy Hill, Kevin helps out in the music team. He and his wife Nicole both came from the Philippines and have been happily married since 2018.

Kevin and his family live in Washington Township with his mother-in-law Levie and their adorable dog, Odin. They have been attending Mercy Hill since since 2021 after finding it in the Gospel Coalition's church directory when they were planning to move from Philadelphia.

Kevin has a career in pharmacovigilance, and his hobbies include playing badminton, video games, reading books, and exploring different foods.

Barry Yeager

Barry works as a Product Manager for a pharmaceutical company in South Jersey. In addition to his role as a deacon, he serves on Mercy Hill's Child Protection Plan Committee, and Mercy Team. Barry and his three children reside in Mantua, NJ and have been attending Mercy Hill since 2017.

YOUTH LEADERS

Emily Evans

Emily is our Director of the Children's and Family ministry. She and her husband Dave got married in 2017 and reside in Franklinville, NJ. Emily is a stay at home mom caring for her two young children while doing photography part time. They began attending Mercy Hill in 2020 and quickly felt at home. Emily is always up for an adventure or eating ice cream and enjoys quality time with family and friends. She is passionate about children and families in the church and looks forward to helping them flourish in Christ together.

Karen Bruner

Karen is our church administrator. She has been married to her college sweetheart, Ed, since 1999, and together they have four children. They recently moved to the area, so they can be closer to Mercy Hill. They have been attending the church since 2017.

After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in History from Rowan University, Karen worked in a library archive and homeschooled for about 14 years. She is passionate about adoption, and people with special needs. On the off chance she does every get free time, she loves reading in a hammock on a sunny day.

Jeremiah Lin

Jeremiah leads our worship ministries at Mercy Hill, including Sunday mornings, special services, and other similar events. He has many years of worship leading and service planning experience and loves to see God's people worshipping together.

Jeremiah works full time as the supervisor of records management for a local utility company. He married his wife Lydia in 2018 and is learning the balance of being a husband and father with two little girls. In his spare time, Jeremiah enjoys watching NASCAR, splitting firewood in his backyard, and running/biking with the family.
